Panthers take second place at GLBC final event

The Davenport men's bowling team saved one of the better performances for last as they finished second out of 20 teams at the GLBC final event of the season over the weekend. The Panthers finished with 9,213 pins and trailed only Wis.-Whitewater who had 9,707 pins.

Brandon Hyska earned all-tournament team honors by finishing in third place with an average of 220.5 in six games. Nick Daye of Wis.-LaCrosse finished second and Kyle Vanoteghem of Western Illinois won the event. Hyska trailed Daye by 14 pins. Nick Luther (pictured below) had an average of 211.5 in his six games for a total of 1,269 pins. Luther would claim first team all-conference honors for his overall performance this season. The men's team finished sixth in the overall conference standings this season. The men's team also lost in the playoff semifinals finishing on a high note.
