ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The Davenport men's lacrosse team returned back to conference play after three straight non-conference wins on Wednesday at Lewis. The Flyers won their GLVC opener 12-3 over the Panthers who are now 3-2 overall and 0-2 in the GLVC. Lewis dropped out of the top 25 this week but played strong defense throughout and broke the game open in the third quarter.

James Johnston scored first at 14:06 and then the Flyers responded with nine straight goals. They scored just one in a slow second quarter for a 4-1 lead at halftime.
Dylan Day scored at 4:25 of the third quarter to stop the streak but Lewis led 10-2 after three quarters.
Jordan Caskenette scored at 8:17 of the fourth quarter sandwiched between a pair of Lewis goals.
Davenport had just nine shots on goal and 24 total in the contest. Lewis had 28 shots on goal and 43 total.
Daniel Milano made a season-high 16 saves in the cage for DU. Davenport held a 10-9 edge in face-off wins. Baden Boyenko led Lewis with four goals. Evan Clement and Nolan Dalep each scored three goals for Lewis. Milano also led the team with 10 groundballs.
