On August 4, the Davenport D1 CSGO team was informed that they have qualified for ESL Challenger League for ESEA Season 42. This comes after a massive amount of shifts in teams in ECL coming into the season. With this promotion, DU continues to raise the bar for collegiate Counter Strike teams everywhere and once again sets a new collegiate first by becoming the first full collegiate roster to qualify and now compete in ESL Challenger League. The season kicks off on August 7 with opponents still to be determined.
