The Davenport men's lacrosse team is gearing up for the 2023 season which gets underway on Saturday, Feb. 4 with a faceoff at Indiana Tech. The Warriors are ranked No. 2 in the NAIA in the organization's preseason poll and went 18-1 last season. Davenport once again will hope to make some noise in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Panthers were selected fifth in the conference preseason coaches poll which was released on Wednesday (official release).

Davenport is coming off a 5-8 season in 2022 which was their first full schedule since COVID-19 halted all and parts of the 2020 and 2021 campaigns. They put together a three-game win streak early in the season with wins against Wheeling, Flagler, and Embry-Riddle (all on the road). The squad ran into the gauntlet that is the GLVC schedule and finished with five straight losses with three of those against conference foes.

The team's scheduled home opener is set for February 21 at noon against Roberts Wesleyan.
