Preview: DU Heads to Indiana for Blue Bridge Battle

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - After opening its 2024 campaign in Smyrna, Tenn. at the Music City Invitational, the Davenport University softball team heads back down south to Evansville, Ind. for the Blue Bridge Battle. The Panthers (2-3, 0-0 GLIAC), will play six games in a span of three days (Friday, Feb. 23 - Sunday, Feb. 25).

Becca Daoust had an impressive opening weekend for DU, batting .474 (9-for-19) with six runs and a pair of RBIs. 

Savanna Disbrow tied a school record for RBIs in a single game with seven against Quincy (Feb. 18). The Kalamazoo Valley Community College transfer ended the weekend with seven hits and nine RBIs while batting .412.
