DETROIT, Mich. – The Davenport men's and women's bowling teams competed at the Midwest Collegiate Championship on Oct. 3-4, with the Panthers turning in several strong individual performances throughout the weekend.

The men's team finished with 7,719 total pins, including 4,925 pins across five traditional games and 2,794 Baker-game pinfall. Davenport opened traditional play with 948 pins before posting 886 in the second game. The Panthers then recorded their best traditional score of the competition with 1,107 pins in the third game, followed by scores of 992 in each of the final two games.

Alexander Uranga led the Panthers individually with 1,074 pins and a 214.8 average over five games. He opened with games of 214 and 214 before rolling a 233 in the third game. Uranga closed with scores of 212 and 201.

Charlie Johnson followed closely with 1,060 pins and a 212.0 average. Johnson opened the competition with a team-best 263 before adding games of 149, 234, 204 and 210.

Conner Weston finished with 930 pins for a 186.0 average, while Camden Caswell recorded 916 pins and averaged 183.2. Brad Reynolds posted 822 pins over four games for a 205.5 average.

On the women's side, Kadence Bottrall paced Davenport with 945 pins and a 189.0 average over five games. Bottrall opened with a 159 before rolling a 211 and 209 in the next two games. She finished with scores of 172 and 194.

Shallan Momber followed with 835 pins and a 167.0 average, highlighted by a 201 in her opening game. Addison Luxford totaled 803 pins and averaged 160.6, including a 190 in her second game. Mylee Dykstra finished with 752 pins and a 150.4 average, while Mackenzie Hoogterp recorded 499 pins over three games for a 166.33 average.
