Two Panthers Earn All-Conference Honors

GLIAC - - Brandon Bodis and Aiden Deng of the Davenport University men's golf team were each named All-GLIAC selections for the 2023-24 season. As a program, the Panthers have now earned 11 All-Conference selections since joining the GLIAC ahead of the 2017-18 academic year.

Bodis has now received All-GLIAC honors for three consecutive and has been named a First Team honoree for the second consecutive season in 2023-24. The Avon Lake, Ohio native leads the squad in scoring average on the season at 73.2, the second best in program history only behind himself, setting the record a season ago as he averaged 71.9 in 2022-23. Bodis has a career average of 74.90, which ranks third in school history. He earned medalist honors twice this season and notched five top-10 finishes to conclude his time with the Panthers.

For Deng, he earned a spot on the honorable mention team for the second consecutive season. The sophomore ended the year with a 73.91 scoring average, the second-highest on the team for Davenport. Deng notched one top-five finish on the season, tying for fifth place at the Lewis Flyer Intercollegiate on October 2, 2023, in Lemont, Ill.

Davenport will begin postseason action tomorrow (May 9, 2024) at the NCAA Midwest/Central Super Regional at the KickingBird Golf Course in Edmond, Okla.
