GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport University women's volleyball team is set to embark on its second weekend of conference action. The Panthers (2-8, 0-2 GLIAC) are heading to Michigan's Upper Peninsula to take on Northern Michigan on Friday, followed by Michigan Tech on Saturday,
Pacing the Panthers' offense through 10 games is Abby Alan, leading the squad in kills (1.07) and kills per set (3.06). The sophomore has notched double-digit kills in four consecutive matches, while posting her first career double-double against Bemidji State (Sept. 13), recording 19 kills and 17 digs, both marking career-highs.
Defensively, freshman Hayley Carr leads the team in digs, tallying 148 on the year, the fourth most in the conference. The Hudsonville, Mich. native has recorded double-digit digs in seven of 10 matches this season.
