GLIAC — Charlie Davis, freshman midfielder for the Davenport University men's soccer team, earned GLIAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors after propelling the Panthers to a 3-1 victory over Northern Michigan and earning a draw with Wisconsin-Parkside this past weekend.
Davis, a true freshman from London, U.K., tallied three goals and one assist for a total of seven points, taking 10 shots with five on target across two full 90-minute matches. In the win over Northern Michigan, Davis found the back of the net twice and assisted another Panther, totaling five points in a single match. He followed that performance with another standout outing against Wisconsin-Parkside, scoring directly from a corner kick — an Olimpico — to get past the Rangers' goalkeeper.
