UNIV. CENTER, Mich. - Freshman
Brayden Green helped the men's team to a third-place finish with 85 points at the GLIAC Indoor Championships. Green won the Freshman Field Athlete of the Meet and was also the High Point Athlete of the Meet. He won the triple jump with a mark of 47' 2.25" which was accomplished on his fifth attempt. He also placed second in the long jump with a distance of 23' 0".
The men's team also saw a school record effort as
Jordan Domany raced in the 5,000 meters with a time of 14:50.18. The record was held for the last seven years by Thomas VanSlembrouck.
Jaden Herrick placed third in the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.22 seconds. Mark Palmater was able to finish second in the hepathlon with 4,341 points and set a PR in the event.
Chandler Griffiths placed third in the shot put with a throw of 53' 1.5" to set a PR.
Ethan Scholten finished third in the long jump with a distance of 22' 10.5".
For the women's team, there were school records set in three different events.
Julia Tuuri finished second in the 200 meters with a time of 24.63. She also finished second in the 60 meters with a provisional time of 7.63.
Erin Boettcher set the school record in the 400 meters with a time of 56.00 and finished third with a provisional time. The 4x400 relay finished third with a school record time of 3:49.70.
Sidney Heugel was also third in the pole vault with a height of 11' 7.25".
