OXFORD, Ohio – The track and field squads traveled with their throwers to the Miami University Blizzard Buster over the weekend. It was the first outdoor meet of the season for the Panthers. Jayla Procter was able to finish second in the discus and set a PR with a throw of 141' 8". She also competed in the shot put and finished ninth with a throw of 37' 8.5".
 
Hannah Fitzpatrick would finish 15^th in the shot put with a throw of 31' 10". She would also set a PR in the hammer throw with a distance of 102' 11". Anna Dixon also competed in the discus and placed 12^th with a new PR of 114' 2".
 
Chandler Griffiths on the men's side finished third in the shot put with a toss of 50' 11". James Horn would also finish fifth in the same event with a mark of 48' 10". Tommy Johnson placed sixth with a throw of 48' 6.75" and set a new PR. He also set a new PR in the discus with a throw of 143' 2" and placed sixth. Alexander Hernandez placed fifth in the hammer throw at 168' 2".
