Preview: Panthers Head to Kentucky for Battle of Panthers

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - After playing its opening 10 games in Florida, the Davenport University softball team heads to Owensboro, Ky. this weekend for a pair of doubleheaders against Kentucky Wesleyan. The two squads will play two games on Saturday and Sunday, starting at noon on both days.

Hailey Whisman has been impressive in the circle to start the year for the Panthers. The sophomore is a perfect 4-0 on the season, leading the team in strikeouts (25). In a 4-2 win over Clarion, Whisman notched a career-high nine strikeouts and only allowed one earned run.
