ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Davenport women's golf team placed 11th out of 18 schools in the Missouri-St. Louis Triton Invitational that wrapped up on Monday (Apr. 14). The teams played 36 holes on Sunday and concluded the tournament with 18 holes on Monday. The Panthers were up against five other schools that are ranked in the top 47 in NCAA Division II. The host Tritons (No. 20) won by 29 strokes over #40 Indianapolis followed in third place by #39 Tiffin.
Davenport was able to card a team total of 953 by shooting rounds of 319-309-325 at the Norwood Hills Country Club.
Melissa Walker had the best individual score on the team for the second straight tournament and finished in a tie for 33rd place with a score of 236 (83-75-78). Her second round score of 75 is her season best.
ThaiLee Gerding finished in a tie for 39th place with a total of 237 (78-77-82).
Hannah Robinson,
Lauren Gervais, and
Venetia Chap each tied for 60th place (244). Robinson had rounds of 80-81-83, while Gervais scored 78-84-82.
Venetia Chap carded scores of 84-76-84.
