HILLSDALE, Mich. - The Davenport track and field teams traveled to Hillsdale College on Friday for their Outdoor Tune-Up. It was one last chance to get things in order and tweak anything before next week's GLIAC Championships.
Malcolm Earvin placed fourth in the 200 meters with a time of 21.33 to set a new PR.
Marcus Nystrom placed third in the 110 hurdles with a time of 14.58 to set a new PR. The 4x100 relay of Earvin,
Ethan Scholten,
Nikao Williams, and
Ibrahim Fall hit a NCAA provisional mark at 40.30 in the event and placed fourth. The quartet broke their own school record of 40.47 set six days ago and are 18th in Division II currently.
Nick Ruvalcaba won the pole vault clearing 16' 1.75", which was one inch shy of his PR. He also hit the NCAA provisional mark in the event. He is currently 31st in Division II.
Ethan Scholten won the long jump covering a distance of 23' 3..5" and set a new PR.
Alexander Hernandez placed sixth in the hammer throw (173' 10").
The women's 4x100 relay consisting of
Julia Tuuri,
Jaiden Young,
Arrionna Wallace, and
Hanah Johnson ran 47.58 to finish fourth in the event.
Bree Hardy finished seventh in the long jump (16' 10.75") and set a new PR.
Tessa Blankenship threw the javelin 97' 9" and took sixth place.
