GREENWOOD, Ind. - The 2025 Academic All-District® Baseball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
This year, the Panther baseball team had five members earn this distinction. Three seniors -
Logan Todd,
Chase Kemp, and
Coltrane Rubner - earned the award and two juniors -
Cody Hultink and
Brandon Skorupski - were also recognized.
Todd turned in his finest season as a senior for the GLIAC champions. He batted .315 in 52 starts with 30 runs scored, seven doubles, two triples, and 30 RBI. Kemp batted .293 this season and made 56 starts at third base. He scored 36 runs and collected seven doubles, one home run, and 28 RBI. Todd and Kemp were a mainstay in the bottom of the lineup and were two of the best 8-9 hitters in Division II. Rubner concluded his career by hitting .341 to rank second on the team. He played in 49 games and scored 41 runs with 17 doubles, one triple, two home runs, and 33 RBI.
Hultink made an impact in center field in his first season at Davenport. He hit .311 in 49 games and led the team with 53 runs scored, 33 walks, and 19 stolen bases. Skorupski had a breakout year in the bullpen as he appeared in 17 games with a 3-3 record and 3.60 ERA. Skorupski recorded two saves and struck out 25 batters in 35 innings.
