GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - It was an incredibly busy weekend for the Davenport men's tennis team as they played three regional matches against McKendree on Friday, Tiffin on Saturday, and Walsh on Sunday.

Jaden Bender closed out the afternoon with a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles to round out Davenport's five total points.

McKendree earned wins at No. 3, No. 4, and No. 5 singles, but the Panthers' early doubles advantage proved to be the difference.

Tiffin Recap
The Davenport University men's tennis team dropped a narrow 4-3 decision to Tiffin University on Saturday at MVP SportsPlex in Grand Rapids.

The match opened with tightly contested doubles play. Tiffin claimed the No. 1 and No. 2 flights in tiebreak fashion, edging both matches 7-6 to take an early 1-0 lead.

Davenport earned a point at No. 3 doubles, where Jaden Bender and Daniel Calver battled to a 7-5 victory over Marlon Huber and Harry Senior, but the Dragons secured the doubles point with their two narrow wins.

The Panthers fought back in singles action, picking up three victories.

At No. 1 singles, Jan Stolin delivered a strong performance, earning a 7-6, 6-1 win over Romain Marionneau. Simone Pacciolla added a hard-fought three-set victory at No. 3 singles, rallying for a 6-2, 1-6, 7-5 decision. Adrian Constantin also contributed with a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles.

Tiffin answered with wins at No. 2, No. 5, and No. 6 singles, including a three-set comeback at the sixth flight to clinch the team victory.
