GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Governors State University brought their tough defense and efficient side-out offense to Davenport, upending the Panthers on Thursday, Feb. 26. The Jaguars won in straight sets with scores of 25-20, 25-15, 25-21. The Panthers struggled to get their offense going at its normal clip all evening.
James May led the offense with nine kills, while
Gavin Vandergraaf added eight kills and
Shaquann Amenuvor contributed six kills.
Tristan Whitman dished out 27 assists.
Peyton Keely recorded the only ace for the Panthers in the match.
Logan Sowers, May, Amenuvor, and Whitman all contributed with block assists.
The men's volleyball team has the next week off for Spring Break. When they return, the Panthers host the GLMVC Championship on Sunday, March 15.
