BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - Thursday night, March 26, the DU men's volleyball team traveled to Ferris State to play their last match of the regular season. The Panthers took down the host Bulldogs in four sets (25-9, 25-27, 25-13, 25-11).
Tristan Whitman and
Robert Lowes set the table for offense with 28 and 19 assists respectively.
Gavin Vandergraaf continued his current hot streak pacing the offense with nine kills, and
Cameron Meier added seven kills.
Logan Sowers and Vandergraaf were both part of five blocks. Lowes (3) and
Jackson Palmitier (2) led the team in aces.
The win brings the season record to 34-4 for the Panthers, who are enjoying their best win percentage in a season in school history. The third-ranked nationally Panthers head off to Kansas City, Mo. on Wednesday to make some noise at the NCVF Nationals. Preliminary rounds will be played on Thursday, 4/2, and Friday, 4/3, followed by single-elimination bracket play on Saturday, 4/4 at the Kansas City Convention Center.
