Cameron Meier led the Panthers with four kills in the second set, paving the way to a 25-16 win. In the third and deciding set,
James May's eight kills powered the Panthers offense.
Tristan Whitman assisted on 18 of the team's 41 kills, and
Robert Lowes assisted on 15 of those 41 kills.
Jackson Palmitier and
James May each recorded two aces.
Phoenix Bol was a wall at the net with his three blocks.
The win moves the Panthers season record to 28-4. This weekend the team travels to Hammond, IN, for the MIVA Championships where they look to improve on their second place finish there last year.
Pacciolla wrapped up his home volleyball career by returning to the court after a nearly two-month absence due to illness and injuries. Simone's leadership guides the team whether he is on or off the court. Below are some of the words his teammates shared about him as part of Senior Night:
"Simone's ability to bring people together is one of his greatest gifts. His energy, his encouragement, and his belief in his teammates have shaped the culture of this program. Balancing two sports, he still showed up with passion, focus, and a drive that inspired everyone around him.
"To one of the best teammates we've ever had—thank you. Thank you for your leadership, your loyalty, your example, and your heart. You've left a legacy here that will last long after tonight."
