GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - On Sunday, March 15th, the men's volleyball team completed an undefeated conference season by going on a 3-0 run in the championship bracket at the DU Student Center. On the way to claiming their second championship in as many years, the Panthers did not drop a single set in conference play, remaining an undefeated 10-0 in conference.
In the quarterfinals, the #1 seed Panthers outmatched #8 seed Ferris State (25-13, 25-13). The Panthers next faced the #4 seed Lakers from Grand Valley State, sweeping them in two sets (25-20, 25-20) and shutting down the Laker offense with eight blocks. In the finals facing the #2 seed Broncos from Western Michigan, the Panthers dominated the match offensively hitting .466 as a team on their way to 32 kills with only five errors. With scores of 25-14, 25-18, the team sealed their second consecutive GLMVC championship.
