Seven Panthers Earn All-G-MAC Honors, Two Earn Major Awards

G-MAC – Seven members of the Davenport University men's lacrosse team earned All-G-MAC honors, the league announced on Wednesday (April 29) afternoon. Leading the way for DU were Logan Flaherty and Tyler Burd, each collecting a major award.


Leading the nation in ground balls per game (11.27), Flaherty was named the conference's Specialist of the Year, as well as First Team All-G-MAC. He finished the season with 128 ground balls and a 66.3 percent faceoff percentage. He added 12 points (seven goals and five assists), playing and starting in every game. In his best game of the season, he guided DU to a 17-7 win over Wheeling (Feb. 28), securing 18 ground balls and adding one goal and one assist. 


For Burd, he earned G-MAC Defensive Player of the Year honors, as well as First Team All-G-MAC. It marks the second time he has earned All-Conference honors, being named Second Team All-G-MAC a season ago. He ranked fourth on the season in caused turnovers per game (1.73), finishing the year with 32 total and 47 ground balls.


Jayden Ashley earned First Team All-G-MAC honors as the Panthers' top offensive threat. It is his second time earning All-Conference honors, being named Second Team All-G-MAC a season ago. In 2026, Ashley leads all of  NCAA Division II in goals per game (4.60), while ranking second in the country in points per game (5.80). He earned G-MAC Offensive Player of the Week honors five times this season. In his best game of the season, he led the team to a 20-point victory over Davis & Elkins (April 11) with a career-high 14 points, the most in school history in the NCAA Division II era.


Four Panthers earned Second Team All-Conference honors: Griffin Poll, Luke Eichbauer, Reece Meech and Sean House


Poll had the best statistical season of his career, finishing with career-highs in points (27), goals (12), assists (15), ground balls (71) and caused turnovers (22). Best game of the season against Malone (March 14), recording four points, two caused turnovers and two ground balls.


It is the second time Eichbauer has earned Second Team All-Conference honors. In his final season, Eichbauer has had the best statistical year of his career. The midfielder has registered career-highs in points (68), goals (49) and assists (19). He has also had career-bests in ground balls (25) and caused turnovers (eight).


As a senior, Meech has played and started in every game for DU this season. In his final season, the defender has accumulated career-highs in caused turnovers (13) and ground balls (19). His best game of the season came at Lake Erie (April 4), finishing with one caused turnover and four ground balls (season-high).


In his first season as the starting goalie, House has registered 199 saves and a 55.4 save percentage, which ranks fourth in the G-MAC. He earned G-MAC Defensive Player of the Week honors twice this season.
