Feb. 24, 2008

Box Score

Athens, Tenn. - In the final game of their three game stand at Tennessee Wesleyan, the Davenport lacrosse team played against the host school and came away with a 19-8 victory. The win was huge as DU spent most of the game a man down as they were whistled for 17:30 of penalties.

The man-down defense of Davenport played a critical role during this game as they allowed only one goal to get by them. Adam Bowers, RJ Bogdanski, Cedric Soubry, Kyle Osipoff and Kyle Detmers stepped up big on the defensive end as they fought off numerous attack efforts from the host team. The offense also found its touch again as they posted 19 goals for the second time in three games.

The win lifts DU to 3-0 on the year as they will now travel to Cincinnatti, OH for a matchup with Mount St. Joseph on Monday afternoon.
