Fast Start Leads Panthers to 8-6 Victory over Western Michigan

ADA, Mich. - In their first home game of the year that was actually played at Forest Hills Eastern HS, the Panthers continued their winning ways as they improved to 5-0 with an 8-6 win over Western Michigan.

DU jumped out early and often against the Broncos as they led 4-0 after one quarter after getting two goals from Oliver Wade and one each from Shawn Beer and Jordan Richtsmeier.

Davenport continued their offensive pressure in the second and third quarters as they pushed their lead to to 7-3 on goals from Beer and Steve Chiappelli.

Three late goals from Western made the score alot closer than the game appeared and Zach Higgins got the win in net for Davenport as he stopped 18 shots on the day.

Davenport will now host Miami (OH) on Saturday, March 21 at 2:00 PM. It will be the first game ever on DU's turf field for Men's Lacrosse.
