DAYTON, Ohio - After racing out to a 8-0 start to the season and climbing as high as #3 in the country, the DU Men's Lax team fell today for the first time at the hands of the University of Dayton. The Panthers will look to rebound when they travel to Buffalo in 13 days to take on the Bulls.
Davenport has been very impressive so far this season as they have posted three wins over Top-25 opponents at the time that includes a victory over #1 Westminster at the Tennessee Wesleyan Tournament.
DU could not carry over their hot offense that led them to 29 goals yesterday at home in a win over Saginaw Valley State as the Flyers posted the upset win on their home turf. DU was shutout in the opening quarter but followed up with four in the second to tie the game heading into halftime.
The Flyers then controlled the second half as they won many of the face-off opportunities that gave them the upper-hand on the attack.
Davenport will now have 13 days to prepare for another very good opponent in the Buffalo Bulls on April 11. Game time is set for 1:00 PM in New York.
