GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - While it was frigid out on the DU turf field, the Panthers offense was red hot as 11 different players found the scoresheet for DU, while Sean Beer scored eight goals in a 21-7 Panther victory. The win lifts the Panthers record to a perfect 6-0 on the season.
The Panthers made quick work of the Warrior defense in the first quarter as DU shot off to a 5-1 lead in the first frame. Oliver Wade opened the scoring just over a minute into the contest while Gavin Morris and Beer each deposited two beautiful goals to power the Panther offensive attack.
The second quarter was much of the same, as DU outscored Indiana Tech 7-0 in the frame.
The second half began with another Beer tally, but Tech scored quickly to make the game 13-2. Minutes later, Beer responded with two more goals to widen the margin.
The fourth quarter actually saw Tech outscore DU 3-2. Tech got on the board early with two quick goals, Taylor Keyworth responded with a tally to cut the Warrior scoring streak. Both teams would each score once to end the game as Davenport ran away with the 21-7 victory.
The Panthers return to action Thursday, March 17 on the road at Grand Valley State in a 5:30 p.m. matchup.
