ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Davenport Men's Lacrosse team is off to a 3-1 start with their only loss coming against MCLA D1 #6 Michigan State in overtime. This weekend the Panthers face three more tough opponents when they take on #2 St. Thomas in a rematch of last season's title game, #17 North Dakota State, and #16 Missouri Baptist.

The action gets started on Friday at 6:00 PM when #1 Davenport and #2 St. Thomas meet for the first time since last season's National Championship game when the Panthers defeated the Tommies 14-9. On Saturday, Davenport takes on #11 North Dakota State at 3:00 PM. Both of these games will be broadcasted live on laxx.tv. Davenport concludes the trip on Monday at 1:00 PM against #16 Missouri Baptist. Live stats will be available for all games.

Scouting #2 St. Thomas

St. Thomas is off to a 2-0 start after defeating Bethel 21-2 and Carleton 25-3. This will be the Tommies first games since February 24th. St. Thomas is led by junior David Burke and freshman Nick Altmann who both have 10 points on the season. Altmann leads the team with eight goals while sophomore Nikolas Colpitts leads the team with six assists. Ryan Zeilinger and Eric Buckley have split time in net for St. Thomas. Zeilinger has allowed one goal and made nine saves over the two games while Buckley has allowed four goals and made three saves.

Scouting #11 North Dakota State

North Dakota State also started the season with games against Carleton and Bethel winning 15-2 and 24-6 respectively.  Sophomore Peter Flock leads the team with eight assists and 17 points and is second on the team with nine goals. Freshman Andy Kinsel leads North Dakota State with 10 goals on the short season.  Senior Ryan Freeman will likely get the start in net against the Panthers. Freeman allowed five goals and made 13 saves while splitting time in goal for the first two games.

Scouting #16 Missouri Baptist

Missouri Baptist dropped their first game against MCLA D1 Missouri 10-5 but rebounded with wins over St. Olaf and Aquinas. Senior David Justvig has scored 12 goals in the first three games to lead Missouri Baptist. Ryan Zimmer leads the team with six assists. Seven of Missouri Baptist's top eight point leaders are seniors with the other being a junior. In net for North Dakota State will be senior Blake Barnett. Barnett has played in all three games giving up 16 goals and making 41 saves.
