Davenport Falls to No.6 Arizona State 15-9

Box Score Tempe, Ariz. – Davenport finished up their road trip with a 15-9 loss to No. 6 Arizona State on Sunday night. The Panthers second consecutive loss drops them to 3-2 on the year. DU will be back in action on March 24 as they host Buffalo University at the DU Turf field at 12:00 p.m.

The Panthers fell behind early as Dan Davis recorded two goals 20 seconds apart to give ASU a 2-0 lead. DU took their only lead of the game 10 minutes later on a goal by Jordan Richtsmeier to complete a 3-0 run. The lead didn't last long though as the Sun Devils outscored the Panthers 6-1 to end the first half.

Trailing 9-4 with 12:53 left in DU picked up a goal from Chapin White and two more from RIchtsmeier to cut Arizona states lead down to two. That was as close as the Panthers could get. The Sun Devils outscored DU 6-2 in the fourth in route to 15-9 win.

Jordan Richtsmeier led DU with three goals and an assist while Lyle Parks added two goals and an assist. Eric Lindstrom made nine saves in net as he fell to 2-1 on the year.

Post-Game Notes
Davenport was outshot 40-22…The Panthers failed to score a goal with a man up going 0-4…DU held a slight advantage in the faceoff winning 15 out of 28.
