A Quick Look at CornerstoneThe Golden Eagles, under the direction of third-year head coach Katie Mattera, are coming off a 70-50 home win over UM-Dearborn Wednesday. Cornerstone's defense highlighted the first half as it held the Wolverines to under 10 points the first 10 minutes. The offense, meanwhile, got off to a slow start as it went into halftime leading 34-18. The Wolverines got as close as 11 points in deficit before a momentum in the second half set up the 20-point victory for the Golden Eagles. Last year's first-team All-WHAC selection Jill Hendrickson as well as Tanner Hostetler finished with 14 points to lead the Golden Eagles. Hendrickson currently paces the ballclub with 14.3 points per game and is shooting 49 percent from the field. She is also averaging 9.4 rebounds per game.

Panthers vs. Golden EaglesThis will be the 24
th meeting between these two schools located less than 15 miles from each other. Davenport holds on to a 14-9 rivalry after having won nine of the last 10 contests. The Golden Eagles did upset the then-second-ranked Panthers at Mol Arena 83-76 last year.
Â
The Last Time They MetIt was a career day for several Davenport members the last time the Panthers faced then-No. 25 Cornerstone last January.
Alex Law and
Kayleigh VanKeulen scored 20 and 16 points, respectively, off the bench and
Kia Frazier tallied 11 assists to lead the third-ranked Panthers to a runaway 83-57 win over their crosstown rival at the Student Center. VanKeulen and Law combined for eight of Davenport's nine field goals from beyond the arc. Law finished with six while VanKeulen had two. After only shooting for 32.4 percent from the field in their last meeting with the Golden Eagles at Mol Arena last November, the Panthers (20-1, 13-1 WHAC) used the friendly confines of the Student Center to combine for a 54.1 percentage from the field while holding Cornerstone to 36.8 percent.
