Toney and Williams Receive GLIAC Award Recognition

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Davenport women's basketball earned postseason recognition from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), as senior Ellie Toney and redshirt junior Nevaeh Williams were honored for their performances during the 2025-26 season.

Toney was named Second Team All-GLIAC following a strong senior season for the Panthers. She started in 27 games and averaged 12.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per game, while logging more than 30 minutes per contest. Toney led the team with 326 total points and contributed 51 assists and 37 steals, demonstrating her ability to impact the game across the stat sheet. She also delivered several standout performances during the season, including a season-high 25 points at Lake Superior State on Feb. 19, while recording a 10-rebound effort at Saginaw Valley and dishing out nine assists against Roosevelt.

Over the course of her career, Toney became the 18th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points, finishing with 1,003. She also concluded her career 11th in school history with 115 three-pointers made and tied for 10th all-time with 494 rebounds, cementing her place among Davenport's top all-around contributors.

Williams earned a spot on the GLIAC All-Defensive Team after playing a key role for the Panthers on both ends of the floor throughout the season. She started in 23 games and averaged a career-best 13.0 points per game while leading the team with 73 assists and 58 steals. Williams delivered several standout performances during the season, including a season-high 28 points at Saginaw Valley on Feb. 21, while also posting 11 rebounds at Purdue Northwest and eight assists at McKendree. Defensively, she showcased her instincts with a seven-steal effort against Malone, further establishing herself as one of the Panthers' top defensive playmakers.

Williams in her career has appeared in 85 games with 50 starts, totaling 599 points, 269 rebounds, 162 assists, and 149 steals during her time with the program.
