Men’s Lacrosse Looks to Get Back on Track Vs. No 10 Boston College

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After being on the road for three straight weeks to open the 2015 season, the Davenport men's lacrosse team will play their first game in the state of Michigan as they host no. 10 Boston College tomorrow at the Legacy Center in Brighton. The first faceoff is set for 2 p.m.

The Panthers
 
Last week the Panthers (2-3) split their two games against New Hampshire and Buffalo, defeating New Hampshire 11-6 and losing to the host Buffalo 10-4. On the season, senior Parker Horvath leads the Panthers 12 total points and eight assists. Sophomore Devon Benson leads the Panthers with 10 goals, and is second in points with 12. Jack Turcotte also has 12 points for the panthers and is second on the team in goals with nine.
 
With the Panthers sitting at a 2-3 overall record, they have dropped out of the top 25 polls, but are currently receiving 15 votes.
 
Scouting Boston College

Boston College has opened their season with a grueling schedule containing games against no. 1 Colorado and no. 3 Colorado State, in which they dropped both games and are currently sitting at a 1-2 record. Juniors Spencer Reed and John Gosstola lead the Eagles with nine points, and Reed's seven goals are also a team high. Junior Mike Shepard has gotten the start at goalie in every game thus far, posting a 8.66 goals allowed average and a .581 save percentage.
