GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Davenport men's lacrosse team will open up CCLA league play this Saturday as they hit the road again for a visit to 0-3 Toledo. The Panthers look to get back on a winning track against the Rockets for they have opened up the 2015 spring season with a 2-4 start. The first faceoff for Saturday's game is at 3 p.m.

Chris Gervat's Panthers faced another top ten opponent in Boston College in their very first game played in the state of Michigan at Brighton's Legacy Center.
Bryan Larocque tallied three goals and an assist in the contest, but it was not enough as Davenport lost 12-6 to drop to 2-4 on the season.
Seniors
Jack Turcotte and
Parker Horvath lead the Panthers with 13 points, with Turcotte also leading the team in goals with 10. Sophomore
Devon Benson also has recorded 10 goals on the season, and is second on the team with 12 points. Larocque's eight goals is good enough for second on the team, and his 11 points is third best for the Panthers.
Kyle Oswald leads the Panthers in ground balls with 13.
Scouting ToledoThe Rockets are coached by Mike McComish and have started the 2015 spring campaign 0-3. Toledo was last in action March 6
th and 7
th where they were swept by Pittsburgh and East Carolina by a combined score of 33-6. Eric Hinkle leads the Rockets in points (5), goals scored (4), and ground balls (9). He is also 9 for 27 in faceoffs on the season.
