BIRMINGHAM, Mich. – The Davenport Men's Lacrosse team hosted two top ten opponents this weekend at Seaholm high school in Birmingham, Mich., where they came out with a two game split, and now stand with a 4-5 record on the season. The Panthers fell to no. 3 Colorado on Saturday night by a score of 14-10, but edged out no. 8 Colorado State on Sunday afternoon in a thrilling 8-7 contest. The Panthers will travel to Vicksburg, Mich. Friday to take on Western Michigan, and then will head home to play their first game on the DU Turf field this season against Indiana Tech for the WHAC Championship.

Jack Turcotte recorded four goals and two assists in Saturday's loss to Colorado, while Bryan Larocque also chipped in two scores, giving him 10 goals in the last two games. Davenport was in it the entire contest, but came up just short to one of the best teams in the entire country, losing 14-10.

Sunday's contest was a an exciting one from start to finish as Davenport recorded arguably its biggest win of the entire season as they defeated no. 8 Colorado State 8-7. Larocque and Parker Horvath both posted hat tricks for the Panthers, giving Larocque team highs in goals (21) and total points (29). Bennett Dipzinski and Quintin St. Clair also recorded a score each.

Logan Poe went the distance for Davenport in the contest, and recorded 12 saves.
