GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The No. 23 Davenport men's lacrosse team will finish its three-week road stretch this weekend as they head to Batavia, NY for a game against New Hampshire on Saturday (pm) and a game against SUNY-Buffalo on Sunday (noon). Both games will be played at Genesse Community College.
The PanthersLast week the Panthers (1-2) split their two games against host Miami (OH) and No. 10 Virginia Tech, defeating Miami 10-3 and losing to Virginia Tech 13-9. On the season, sophomore
Devon Benson leads the way with eight total points along with six goals scored.
Bryan Larocque,
Parker Horvath, and
Quintin St. Clair are each tied for second in total points with six, as Larocque is third on the team in goals scored with four. Freshman
Tate Ferris has started the last two game at goalie for the Panthers, owning a 1-1 record and a .523 save percentage.

Scouting New HampshireNew Hampshire comes into the weekend with a 1-1 record, where they just edged Tennessee last week by a score of 9-8. Junior Jon Brown leads the Wildcats with six total points and three goals, while Thomas LoMedico and Conor McCarthy each have three points apiece. Senior Marty Gorman is the starting goalie for New Hampshire, and is allowing an average of 10.5 goals per game in his first two starts.

Scouting BuffaloMarcus Hennekens's Bulls are open its 2015 campaign against New Hampshire on today at 3:00 p.m., and will then have Saturday off before facing Davenport on Sunday afternoon. Ben Ott and Frank Leffler, who each recorded 20 and 21 total points each last season, lead buffalo's squad this year, and Bryan Bergstol and Christian Legg look to compete for the starting goalie spot.
MCLA Division I PollsThe Panthers dropped one spot in the polls this week falling from no. 22 to no. 23 after losing to no. 10 Virginia Tech on Saturday. Colorado and Arizona State continue to hold down the first and second spots, while Colorado State and Grand Canyon move into the three and four slots. Chapmon dropped three spots from third after losing a close one to Arizona, and Cal Poly moved up to no. 5 even after just barely pulling out the upset against Arizona State last weekend.
