MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The No. 21 Davenport Men's Lacrosse team extended their win-streak to four games Wednesday night as they paid a visit to Mount Pleasant, Mich. and defeated Central Michigan 19-9.
Bryan Larocque scored six goals in the victory, while senior
Parker Horvath chipped in five of his own, and both tallied one assist apiece. The Panthers will be back in action this Saturday as they host CCLA opponent Pittsburgh at East Grand Rapids High School at 3 p.m.
This is the third contest in a row that Larocque has scored exactly six goals, and now has 34 scores in his last seven showings. Larocque also leads the team with 39 goals on the season.
Sophomore
Devon Benson and freshman
Jon Nykamp also recorded two goals apiece, with Nykamp finishing with three total points on the day. Freshman
Kyle Topper also ended the day with three points as he tallied a goal and two assists.
Senior
Jimmy DeJaeger scooped up a team high 12 ground balls in the contest, while junior
Logan Poe notched his sixth win of the season between the posts, recording 11 saves on 20 shots on goal.
The 7-5 Panthers will take on Pittsburgh this Saturday at East Grand Rapids High School with the first drop scheduled for 3 p.m.
