Bryan Larocque (2g, 0a). Despite going into halftime with a 5-4 lead, a slow scoring second half resulted in a Davenport loss with a final score of 13-7 in favor of Michigan State.

HOW IT HAPPENEDStarting off the first quarter strong, Davenport freshman Wilson put up two points on two shots on assists from junior
Joe Lopez and junior
Jarred Riley. Michigan State rallied back with two goals of their own, but the run was halted by Faulkner late in the first and again early in the second quarter on unassisted takes from the midfield to make the score 4-2 with 13 minutes to go in the half. The Panthers last goal of the half was scored, unassisted by Wilson to give him three goals on the night. Davenport led going into the half 5-4. Starting off the half very slow the Panthers were outscored 5-1 in the third quarter. Going into the fourth quarter down 9-6, the Spartans were able to find the back of the net four times before their streak was stopped by Larocque who tallied his final goal late in the quarter to make it a final of 13-7.
