The Davenport men's lacrosse team picked up a pair of wins this weekend in two games on the road at Indiana University and Purdue University. In both matchups, the Panthers were able to get on the board first, as well as maintain the lead throughout the whole contest. With the two wins on the weekend, Davenport improves their record to 4-4 on the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED In the Panthers first game of the weekend, they traveled to Bloomington to take on the Hoosiers. In a competitive first half, Davenport was able to find the back of the net first with an assisted goal from junior

Jake Wilson. The defense was led by senior Danny Kransberger who tallied up an impressive 18 saves on the evening. The Panthers carried a three-goal lead into the fourth quarter where they increased the lead to four, to end the game 13-9.

HOW IT HAPPENEDThe second of two games on the road was hosted by the Purdue Boilermakers. In West Lafayette the Panthers attack stepped up huge to lead the Panthers to victory. The charge was led by all three attackmen - Larocque (5g, 4a), Riley (4g, 3a) and Wilson (3g, 2a). Davenport started off the first half outscoring the Boilermakers 9-6, with seven of those goals being assisted. Going into the second half, the Panthers pulled away with a 5-0 run in the third quarter. Despite a not so productive fourth quarter, the Panthers came away with a 16-11 victory over Purdue.
