ORLANDO, Fla. – The Panthers competed in three matches down at the USTA National Campus over the last tow days and complied a 2-1 record. Davenport defeated Rose-Hulman and Concordia College (Minn.) fairly easily, then dropped a tough match against Keiser. The Seahawks, Keiser University, are currently ranked number three in NAIA and a tough match for any opponent. In the matches against Rose-Hulman and Concordia College the Panthers only conceded three points.
Match 1 (Monday, February 26 at 11:00 a.m.)
Final score: Davenport-7 | Rose-Hulman-2

Doubles Competition
Davenport went 2-1 in doubles against Rose-Hulman.
Juan-Louis van Antwerpen and
Marc Lerch won 8-2 in first doubles, earning DU their first point of the match. The next doubles match to finish was
Jonathan Bulmer and
Matthew McClurg who won 8-3 and gave DU a 2-0 lead. Davenport lost in second doubles and went into singles competition with a 2-1 lead.
Singles Competition
Lerch played a long match in first singles. Sets one and two went into a tie-breaking set, with each player winning one set. The match was decided in a super tie-breaker in the final set to quickly determine a winner. This was done since Davenport had already won enough points to win the match at that point in time. Antwerpen made quick work of his opponent in third singles, winning 6-1 and 6-0. In fourth singles
Matthew McClurg won 6-3 in both sets, while Bulmer scored one point in fifth singles with his 6-1 and 6-2 set victories.
Max Hartman rounded out singles play in the sixth spot, defeating his opponent 6-2 and 6-1.
Match 2 (Tuesday, February 27 at 8:00 a.m.)

Doubles Competition
The Panthers swept Concordia College in doubles. Lerch and Antwerpen won a tight battle in first doubles 8-6, earning DU their second point of the match. The first doubles match to finish was Hartman and
Michael Digby in third doubles, going a perfect 8-0 against their opponents. The finals doubles match to finish was Bulmer and McClurg, who won 8-6 in second doubles.
Singles Competition
Davenport won all but one singles matches. Antwerpen had the toughest match out of the winners, taking 10 games to win both sets in first singles. In second singles Lerch won 6-4 and 6-1. Finishing the quickest was Bulmer, who only lost one game during his 6-1 and 6-0 victories. Digby won in fourth singles 6-0 and 6-4, and in fifth singles Hartman won 6-4 and 6-0.
Parker Keas saw his first action of the season against Concordia College. Keas lost 6-4 and 6-1 in the sixth singles spot.
Match 3 (Tuesday, February 27 at 2:00 p.m.)
Final score: Davenport-2| Keiser-7

Doubles Competition
Davenport earned one point in doubles. Lerch and Antwerpen took care of business in first doubles, winning 8-3.
Singles Competition
Antwerpen was the only Panther to won in doubles and singles in the match. He won in the second doules slot by a score of 6-3 and 6-3. Lerch, McClurg, and Digby all lost in close matches. They each fell by a score of 6-4 and 6-3.
