Panthers finish second in the fourth GLBC event

The Davenport women's bowling team finished second in the fourth GLBC event of the season over the weekend. The Panthers finished with 8,163 pins and trailed Marian (Wis.) who had 8,355 pins. The all-tournament team honors went to Karine Bouchard and Omani Morales and Morales also earned MVP honors. Morales had the highest average in the tournament over six games at 198.7 and was two pins better than Morgan Brooks of Wis.-Milwaukee. Bouchard finished fourth with an average of 188.3 in her six games.

This tournament wrapped up the GLBC season and Merisa Batkins was selected as second team all-conference. Bouchard and Morales were named first team all-conference. Bouchard, Carly Snyder, and Morales were also given sportsmanship awards voted on by their peers. The women's bowling team finished the season as runner-up in the conference and lost in the semifinals on the playoffs.
