CALEDONIA, Mich. - The Davenport track and field teams were able to showcase their facility on Friday and Saturday at the Davenport Invitational at the Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex. The rain did not put a damper on several student-athletes that came away with solid results and first-place finishes.

Emma Schafer (Heptathlon - 4,150 points)
Ella Baryo finished second in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:47.24 and set a new school record.
Scout Nelson finished second in the 400 meters with a time of 59.59 to set a personal best.
Stacia Rispress finished fourth in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 16.46.
Josephine Sokol finished second in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:09.45.
Jessica Marvin claimed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 40' 9.75". She also finished fourth in the discus with a throw of 135' 9" to set a personal best and set a personal best in the hammer finishing fourth (164' 0").
Lisa Wangler placed third in the hammer with a throw of 173' 11" and hit a NCAA provisional which is 30th currently in Division II. She also set a personal best in the event.
The Panthers were top three in the 100 meters on the men's side with LaLonde in first, Sims in second and
Colin Grady in third. Sims ran 11.02 and Grady crossed the line in 11.03.
Cody Brandenburg finished fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 40' 7". Schafer was able to finish second in the shot put with a toss of 59' 4" which was a provisional mark but not better than one previously at the Al Owens Classic which keeps him sixth in Division II.
Noah Evers finished third in the discus with a throw of 153' 8".
