UNIV. CENTER, Mich. - The Panther track and field teams competed at the Saginaw Valley State Jet's Pizza Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
Deidre Lorton won the high jump with a height of 5' 0.25". Lorton also set a personal best in the triple jump at 32' 0.75".
Sidney Heugel won the pole vault with a height of 12' 7.5".
Mackenzie Brigham won the long jump with a distance of 16' 10.5".
Lisa Wangler won the weight throw with a toss of 55' 4.75" and finished fifth in the shot put at 40' 2".
Erin Dorn placed third in the mile run with a time of 5:02.93 and set her personal best.
Annabelle Schafer would finish third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.17 and set her personal best.
Riley Schroeder placed fifth in the 5,000 meters with a time of 18:37.66 and set her personal best.
Julia Tuuri placed sixth in the 60 meters with a time of 8.12 and ran 8.02 in the prelims. She also ran 26.46 in the 200 meters to set a personal best.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
Noah Evers won the shot put at 57' 10.5" and improved his provisional mark where he is eighth-best in Division II.
Brendan LaLonde finished first in the 200 meters in 21.90 seconds and was second in the 60 meters with a time of 6.91.
Nick Ruvalcaba won the pole vault and cleared 15' 7".
Ethan Flores would finish second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.24 and
Corbin DeJonge placed fourth in a time of 8.55.
Garrett Melling placed fourth in the 5,000 meters with a time of 15:14.80 which was a personal best.
Ethan Scholten had a leap of 22' 0.5" in the long jump and placed fourth while setting a personal best.
