Bodis Leads DU to Second Place Finish at Panther Invitational

AUGUSTA, Mich. - Brandon Bodis led the Davenport men's golf team to a second-place finish at the Panther Invitational this past weekend (Oct. 14-15) at the Stoatin Brae Golf Club. The graduate finished the event second overall individually, shooting one under par (141) through 36 holes, with a low round of 67 on the second day. The Avon Lake, Ohio native's second round was highlighted by an eagle on the eighth hole.

Aiden Deng was the second-leading Panther, finishing with a two-round score of 149 (+7), tying for 11th overall. The sophomore tallied four birdies through the two-day event.

Noah Bridgeman was one stroke behind Deng, shooting 150 (+8) through 36 holes. The senior had a low round of 74 (second), finishing tied for 15th overall.

All five Panthers finished inside the top 25, as Cayden Kwan and Foster Faber each tied for 22nd overall, shooting 11 over par (153). Kwan had a low round of 74, while Faber's best was 73, both coming in the first 18 holes.

Looking ahead, Davenport will conclude fall play in Kohler, Wis. on Oct. 23-24 for the Kohler Collegiate at the Whistling Straits Golf Course.
