Panthers continue strong AHBA play

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Davenport University bowling continued a series of American Heartland Bowling Association (AHBA) games, with the women's team picking up where they left off.

Taking first place for the third straight game, the women's team finished with a score of 7,213, as the men's team claimed ninth overall (7,153), and the men's junior varsity squad took first place with a score of 6,988.

Individually, the men's JV saw Charlie Johnson (second) and Michael Willshire (third) bowl averages of 206.4 and 202, respectively. Tate Temrowski (sixth) and Tyler Miller (eighth) also had a strong day, as the pair had a pinfall of 191.8 and 187.4 through five games.

The women's team was led by Karine Bouchard once more as Bouchard bowled a 211.6 average for second place. Omani Morales was one spot behind her teammate (third) with an average of 206.6, followed by Kadence Bottrall (sixth, 187), Kasey Eaton (seventh, 187), and Carly Snyder (16th, 174.2).

Lucas Buck (ninth) and Nicholas Luther (17th) led the men's varsity squad with average pinfalls of 216.2 and 208.4, respectively. Ryan Oyama (38th, 195.4), Samuel Woolworth (45th, 183.8), and Tyler Kelly (46th, 180.4) rounded out the top 50 for the Panthers.

DU continues the season in the Leatherneck Classic on Nov. 11-12 in Davenport, Iowa.
