Panthers Place 10th at UIndy Invitational

Indianapolis, Ind. - The Davenport University men's golf team competed at the University of Indianapolis Invitational this past Sunday (Sept. 24)-Tuesday (Sept. 26) at the Broadmoor Country Club. The Panthers finished the three-day event with a score of 887 and finished 10th out of 16 teams.

Aiden Deng led the Panthers with a three-round score of 218, shooting two above par and a low-round of 69 (round three). The sophomore tied for 21st overall and recorded 10 birdies throughout the three rounds, including five in the second.

Noah Bridgeman ended the event placing tied for 50th, shooting 224 over three days. The senior had his best round on the second day, shooting 73 and registering six birdies.

Freshman Cayden Kwan finished with the third-highest score of all Panthers, shooting 10 over par for a final three-round score of 226. Kwan had a low round of 71, which came in the second.

Brandon Bodis and Foster Faber rounded things out for Davenport, as they both finished with a score of 227, placing tied for 62nd.

The Panthers will continue fall play next week in Lemont, Ill. at the Lewis University Flyer Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 2-3).
