Davenport Set to Host GLIAC Championships for the First Time in Program History

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships rotate hosts each year among all 11 conference programs. This year, Davenport University will host the event for the first time in program history at Gainey Athletic Facility, home to Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Mich.

The Panthers will race against Ferris State, Grand Valley State, Lake Superior State, Michigan Tech, Northern Michigan, Parkside, Purdue Northwest, Roosevelt, Saginaw Valley State, and Wayne State, with over 100 runners expected in both the men's and women's fields.

Last season, Ferris State hosted the championship, where the Davenport men's team placed fourth, and the women's team finished eighth.

Leading the way for the Panthers, Jordan Domany—a consistent top finisher throughout the 2025 season—will look to improve on his 24th-place finish at last year's GLIAC Championship, where he clocked a time of 25:16.9 in the 8K.

The women's 6K race is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., followed by the men's 8K at 11:45 a.m. Both races will be streamed live on FloSports.
