Domany Earns Second USTFCCCA All-Academic Honor as Panthers Recognized

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its 2025 Cross Country All-Academic Awards, recognizing student-athletes and teams that demonstrated excellence both academically and competitively. Among those honored were junior Jordan Domany and the Davenport men's cross country team.

According to the USTFCCCA, "In order to qualify for All-Academic (teams) distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period and compile a team score at their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers." All-Academic athletes were held to the same competitive standards and were also required to maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale.

Domany Earns Second Career All-Academic Honor
Domany earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete recognition for the second time in his career, continuing to establish himself as one of Davenport's most proven student-athletes in and out of the classroom.

A standout postseason included a 30th-place finish out of 203 runners at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships, where he set a school record in the men's 10,000-meter race with a time of 31:39.92. He added a 23rd-place finish out of 106 competitors at the GLIAC Championships, completing the 8,000-meter race in 25:11.00.

Men's Team Recognized as All-Academic Team
The Davenport men's cross country team was also named a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team, underscoring the program's sustained commitment to academic excellence — a distinction the Panthers have earned consistently over time.

That success extended to the course during the championship portion of the season, as the men's squad placed seventh at the GLIAC Championships with a team score of 176 and finished 18th at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships, compiling 496 points in a highly competitive regional field.

DU also delivered its strongest performances during the regular season, capturing first place at the Lansing Invitational (22 points) and earning a second-place finish at the Diemer Classic (29 points).
