Panthers Fall to #11 Lewis in Final Non-Conference Game

Box Score ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The Davenport University men's lacrosse team lost 20-6 to No. 11 Lewis on Saturday afternoon at Lewis Stadium. The contest marked the final non-conference game for the Panthers (1-6, 1-1 G-MAC), with their remaining seven games being conference opponents.

At the end of the opening quarter, the Flyers held a 5-0 lead over the Panthers. Ty Woods stopped DU's scoring drought with 9:25 remaining in the opening half off an assist from Charlie Fritz.

Luke Fritz scored two goals in a 45-second span to open the second half, trimming the Davenport deficit to six (10-4). Midway through the third period, Jayden Ashley found Dylan Fallon who scored to bring DU within five (10-5) with 7:23 left to go in the third. However, the Flyers finished the final 22 minutes on a 10-1 run to seal the game.

Antonio Hart and Sean House split time in net for the Panthers, combining for 19 saves in the loss.

Luke Fritz led the DU offense, scoring a team-high three goals. Woods, Charlie Fritz and Fallon all chipped in with one goal for Davenport.

Up Next
The Panthers will have a ten-day break, returning to action on Tuesday, March 25, heading to Ohio to take on Tiffin at 3 p.m. at Paradiso Athletic Fields.
