Gauthier signs with Baton Rouge Zydeco

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Goaltender Nathan Gauthier (Laval, Quebec) has joined the professional ranks after a great career with the Davenport ACHA Division I program. Gauthier will be a member of the Baton Rouge Zydeco in the Federal Prospects Hockey League. The Zydeco are one of 14 teams in the league with teams positioned in New York, Connecticut, Michigan, Illinois, North Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, Virginia, and Mississippi. The Zydeco are in the Continental Division made up of seven teams and are currently in fourth place with 70 points through 40 games. The regular season runs through April 12. The team is guided by head coach Everett Thompson, who played for the ACHA D1 program at Davenport from 2014-18. He played in 135 games for the Panthers and scored 55 goals and assisted on 77 goals.

Gauthier had a four-year career between the pipes for the Panthers and played in 77 games. He accomplished 33 wins in 4,309 minutes with a 4.15 goals-against average and .894 save percentage. He had his best season as a senior in 2024-25 when he posted a 2.94 goals-against average and .915 save percentage with seven victories in net.
