PREVIEW: Panthers Look to Keep Momentum Rolling with Two Games this Week

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - After winning back-to-back games, the Davenport men's lacrosse team is set for two more games this week. The Panthers (3-2, 2-0 G-MAC) will host Rockhurst on Tuesday (March 10) at 4 p.m., before heading to Malone on Saturday (March 14) at noon.

The Panthers have earned G-MAC Athlete of the Week nods four times this season. Sean House has been named Defensive Player of the Week twice, including this past week after a 14-save, eight-groundball performance. Jayden Ashley was named Offensive Player of the Week in week two following a 10-point (seven goals and three assists) performance to lead DU past Madonna.

Last week, Charlie Fritz earned Offensive Player of the Week honors after helping guide the squad to a 17-7 win over Wheeling last Saturday. He had a team-high and a career-high seven points, scoring four goals and dishing out three assists. In addition, Fritz added four ground balls and caused turnover in the win as DU won their GMAC opener.

On the season, Ashley leads the offense with 22 points, 18 goals and four assists. In five games, House has spent every minute in the net, accumulating 73 saves.
