GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Davenport dropped a pair of GLIAC matches last week, falling 2-0 to Saginaw Valley State on Friday before a 3-0 setback at Wayne State on Sunday. The Panthers return home this week, hosting Ferris State on Friday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m. in Caledonia.
Elizabeth Wolter made 14 saves across the two matches, including eight against Saginaw Valley State and six at Wayne State. Audrey Muterspaugh led Davenport with four shots against Wayne State, putting two on goal, while Tatum Borton struck the post against the Cardinals.
The Panthers enter the week at 4-2-2 overall and 2-2-0 in GLIAC play. Muterspaugh leads Davenport with five goals and two assists for 12 points, while Wolter has recorded 34 saves on the season. Davenport will look to get back in the win column when they host Ferris State on Friday.
