Post-Game Quotes – Karlee Despres and Abbey Hengesbach
Abbey on her play in the first half: "We came out and played very sluggish, the health of the team really showed with many of us battling the flu and Madonna came out and played really well which gave us some troubles on defense.”
Abbey on adjustments made at halftime: “We needed to pick up our help side and perimeter coverage on defense. Coach really stressed working on getting to the basket and the free throw line in the second half along with taking charges on defense.”
Despres on defensive adjustments: "Our defense wasn't really active in the first half and we worked on closing down on their shooters in the second and mixing up different defensive sets.”
Despres on getting a big win on the road: “It felt really good…it was a complete team victory…our bench was extremely loud and I'm really happy with the way we responded in the second half.”
